Would you be interested in Volunteering at the Garmin Mourne Skyline MTR?
Be part of it…
Putting together a major event such as the Garmin Mourne Skyline Mountain-Trail Race takes months of planning and preparation; however, it is on the day that large numbers of volunteers are required to make any event a success.
It is with this in mind that NiRunning would like to ask anyone who would be interested in volunteering at our Garmin Mourne Skyline Mountain-Trail Race on Saturday 21st October 2017 to get in contact with us.
What would you have to do?
There are various positions on offer, these will range from:
- Event Set Up/Take Down (including Start/Finish Area’s)
- Assisting Course Director with course marking (Thursday 19/10/17 and Friday 20/10/17)
- Aid Station/Check Point Duties *Only suitable for Volunteers with Mountain experience*
- Tail/Sweeper Runners *Only suitable for Volunteers with Mountain experience*
- Finish Line Personnel
- General Marshalling Duties *Low level marshal positions also available*
We are also interested in hearing from anyone with a backround in Photography or Videography and would be willing to Volunteer.
What will you get from this?
Not only will you play a significant part in the delivery and success of what will be an internationally recognised event, but we will also offer all of our Volunteers an event souvenir. You will also receive free entry into any NiRunning event in 2018.
How long will it take?
Volunteers will be required from approximately 6am on Saturday 21st October 2017. ‘Stand down’ times will vary depending on position, but we would expect the ‘Event Take Down’ phase to be complete by 6.30pm.
Why we need your help:
As a small team, working on a not for profit basis, NiRunning spend a large amount of time every year, providing up to date information, reports, results and photographs to those interested in the local running scene.
It would be almost impossible for us to pull off this event, which has been organised to highlight everything that is good about Northern Ireland and our running scene, alone. We would therefore be extremely grateful some of our followers could come forward and assist with delivering a top quality event.
